Vouvray

The Vouvray appellation covers 2.000 ha and covers not only the commune of Vouvray, but also the neighbouring villages of Chançay, Noizay, Reugny, Rochecorbon, Sainte-Radegonde-en-Touraine, Vernou-sur-Brenne, and part of Parçay-Meslay. The appellation area opens at the eastern limits of Tours and extends over 8 communes on the right bank of the Loire and along its tributary, the Brenne. Annual production: Approximately 110.000 hl (55 % fine bubbles and 45 % still wines).
